Vertical Saws
The most common bandsaw is the vertical blade saw with a moving table. By loading the workpiece onto the moving table then pushing the table and workpiece through the saw an operator can make very fast, clean cuts in heavy or awkward workpieces.

Horizontal Bandsaws
Horizontal bandsaws are primarily used to cut sheets off large blocks or buns of material. Inventive customers have also used horizontal saws to trim vacuum molded parts from sheets, trim flash from molded food serving containers, and split blankets of insulation on the fly in continuous production lines.

Tilting head bandsaws are designed to cut sheets of large blocks and buns of materials, as well as used to trim vacuum molded parts from sheets.

Sometimes “vertical” and “horizontal” are just too limiting. For those applications Forrest builds multi blade saws whose blades can be tilted relative to the table surface.
